STEEPLECAHSE RACE PREVIEW
Steeplechasers Jacob Araptany and Albert Chemutai will carry the Ugandan flag in today's World Athletics Championship 3000m SC final (11.00pm).
It will be the fourth time Ugandan men are in a World Championship Steeplechase final, with Jacob Araptany having featured in three of them, in 2011, 2013 and now 2017.
The two will however be outsiders in the final, having only qualified as the fastest losers in the heats.
Uganda's greatest steeplechase moment came 12 years ago, when Dorcus 'Inzzi' Inzikuru stunned the world to win the Helsinki 2005 women's steeplechase final.
The date? By some coincidence, August 8. August 8, 2015 was the day Inzikuru did it!
